RACKHEATH APRIL ’45
by Nicolas Trudgian

Nicolas Trudgian’s pencil drawings are universally recognised as some of the best in the industry. His attention to detail and ability to bring the subject to life in graphite, continues to draw praise from his peers and the wider art community.

Given how collectable Nic’s original artwork is, we are pleased to be able to offer this drawing at a very competitive price.

Rackheath April ’45 depicts a scene that was common across the English counties of Suffolk and Norfolk in Spring of 1945.  A B-24 Liberator of the US 8th Army Air Force, 467th Bomb Group, starts it’s take-off run on another mission over Nazi-occupied Europe.

The drawing has been personally signed by a number of 467th BG and 8th Air Force veterans, providing a lasting and fitting memorial to the aircrews that flew the B-24 in combat.
