UNWELCOME COMPANY

by Steve Hale

It is early October 1940, the latter stages of the Battle of Britain, and Flying Officer Wellum is up against an Me 109 in the skies over southern England.

Steve Hale’s latest drawing is a wonderful study, that captures an aerial duel between a Mk 1a Spitfire from 92 Squadron, flown by Flying Officer Geoffrey Wellum (later to become Squadron Leader ) and an Me 109e from 2./JG52 based out of Caffiers in Northern France.

This drawing has been professionally framed, so please contact us before purchase to discuss shipping options.
